Central Motor Club to Hold AGM On Saturday

Central Motor Club (CMC) tomorrow Saturday will be holding its Annual General meeting for all its members where the new leadership will also be elected.

Central Motor Club is a member of the 15 motorsports clubs that form up FMU (Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda).

According to the tentative program, the Annual General Meeting will take place at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto, Kampala starting at 9:00 Am.

The club is one of the pioneer clubs of motorsports in Uganda for over 10 years and has been organizing motor rally events on behalf of FMU.

The incumbent club President is Mr Kavuma Rajab while its incumbent Secretary General is Ms Shamin Baseeka with its entire leadership composed of about 13 people and all in elective positions.

The entire leadership is expected to be changed tomorrow.
Reports indicate that Shammy Kotecha is unopposed for the club President while comedian Salvado Idringi is also vying for entertainment and welfare seat among many other contenders.

Competitions committee secretary position is also one of the hotly contested seats between Avan Singh and Erico Amadi.

Notable club driver members include Charlie Lubega brothers ie Mark and Micheal, Christakis Fiditis and Rajiv Ruparelia among many others.

Central Motor Cub was recently the first Sports entity in Uganda to support the government on Emergency Response to CIVID 19 pandemic in cash and food stuff.

The Club contributed 1million shillings to FMU’S Emergency Response Ambulance initiative & also donated food items like Posho(400kgs)Beans (205kgs) Rice (150kgs)and washing Soap(Soap 500bars) to the National covid19 Taskforce.
