M7 Takes Over Killed Boxer Zebra Ssenyange’s Investigations

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, while delivering end of year/new year national message revealed that preliminary investigations show that boxer Zebra Ssenyange was gunned down by Ugandan security forces.

He apologized to the grieving family and vowed to bring culprits to face the long arm of the law.

“When I heard of the unfortunate death of Isaac Ssenyange alias Mando Zebra, Uganda’s boxer and former captain of the Bombers,” Museveni said in his New Year address Thursday evening.

“I telephoned his wife who narrated to me the events in detail.”

He said Zebra was an NRM supporter, and was mobilising for the party so well.

He was also training many youth in the ghetto and giving them hope in their search for meaningful life.

Indeed, Zebra was meant to come and see the president when he was killed.

“Zebra’s wife told me people in police uniform came to pick Zebra but he jumped over the wall and could have met another group who shot him.”

“At first I thought they were thugs disguising in uniform, but as I continued investigations, I found out that Zebra was killed by security personnel.”

“This is sad and devastating and I AM VERY SORRY about this. I will keep on this case and will bring every finding to the knowledge of his family and the murderers will be dealt with accordingly. I AM SO SORRY.”

Museveni said he heard that Zebra was training boxers who would be used to attack civilians.

“I found out that he was doing a great job in Kawempe.”

The security people had gone to get Zebra and ask him some questions.

Unfortunately, when they got there, they knocked and the people in didn’t open.

“The security said when they stopped Zebra, he refused to stop. I am very sorry about this.”
