Andrew Ojok Oulanyah,the National Resistance Movement candidate for Omoro County has won the Parliamentary Seat with 14,174 votes.
The results were announced by Omoro District Returning Officer, Moses Kagona.
Other candidates included National Unity Platform flag bearer Toolit Okecha who got 1,621 votes, Independent candidate Terrence Odong got 530 votes, Forum for Democratic Change Justine Odong got 520, another independent Jimmy Walter Onen got 95 votes and the Alliance for National Transformation flag bearer Oscar Kiiza managed to get only 60.
Omoro Parliamentary seat became vacant after the death of former Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah L’Okori who had been the MP from 2001 to 2006 and from 2011 until he died.
