UPC Officially Unveils Flag Bearer Sarah Aguti For Dokolo By-elections

The Uganda Peoples’Congress (UPC) party has officially declared Sarah Aguti Nyangkori as their flagbearer for the Dokolo Woman MP seat after the stepping down of Comrades
Alyek Anna Grace and Acen Josephine Okello who had shown interest in the
same position by consensus.

While addressing the press at Uganda house on Wednesday,the head of communication Muzeyi Faizo revealed that the process to get flag bearers for the lower positions is ongoing.

“We want to thank the two members for exercising their maturity in politics
and agreeing to step down in favour of Comrade Sarah who was the UPC flag
bearer for the 2021 General Elections. Their act is a true representation of the bigger picture of the Party with  should be emulated.”, Muzeyi said.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to
the Dokolo District leadership, and all Party leaders in Lango sub region for managing the process smoothly.UPC has always treasured dialogue, constructive engagements and consensus as the first means of handling both internal and external affairs”,he added.

Muzeyi appreciated their high degree of unity and focus exhibited in Dokolo and recently in Oyam propelled the Party to a serious issue-based campaign program that is well organised.

At the unveiling of the UPC flag the bearer, Comrade Sarah Aguti Nyangkori outlined their priority areas of the campaign and promised to work towards revamping health education and agriculture as the key areas reflecting the concerns of our people in Dokolo District and the entire country.

UPC has encouraged that the message should be carried across the district by their effective campaign machine while bearing in mind the short campaign period given by the Independent Electoral Commission (EC).
