Good Heart! Indian Community Donates VX Station Wagon Vehicle To UPDF

The Indian (Hindu) community in Mbarara led by Mr. Nerech Patel has donated a VX Station Wagon vehicle to UPDF 2 Division to assist in the campaign against COVID 19. The vehicle was received by Hon. Brig Gen Francis Takirwa the Division Commander.

While handing over the vehicle, the leader of the Indian community in Mbarara said that they are impressed by the work UPDF is doing in sensitizing and fighting the pandemic.

He noted that UPDF is a disciplined force and has played a vital role in promoting national and international peace hence a force worth supporting.

He also commended UPDF for its endless sacrifice by providing its medical experts actively participating in food distribution as well as supporting the victims of floods in the region .

The 2nd Division Commander Hon.Brig Gen Takirwa thanked the Indian community in Mbarara for their donation and added that the vehicle will be helpful to UPDF in providing quick transport especially this time when some areas such as Kisoro and Kasese and Bundibugyo have been devastated by floods.

The function was also attended by Lt Col James Mwesigye the Task Force Chairperson and Resident District Commissioner for Mbarara District and members of the Indian Community in Mbarara
