Uganda’s Covid-19 Cases Soar To 593 As 31 Including Fresh Frontline Health Workers Test Positive

The Ministry of health has confirmed 31 new COVID-19 cases out of samples tested on 05 June 2020.

According to the Ministry all new confirmed cases are Ugandans who were among alerts and contacts who tested positive previously and all of them were under quarantine at the time of test.

“All new confirmed cases are Ugandans who were among alerts and contacts who tested positive previously, all of them were under quarantine at the time of test.” Ministry tweeted.

Ministry added that new infections include 9 frontline health workers from Kampala.

However, others are contacts to previously confirmed cases from Kyotera, Buvuma, Yumbe, Pader and Mayuge Districts.

As of June, 6, 2020 Uganda’s positive cases stands at 593 total confirmed and 82 recoveries with no COVID-19 related death.

Basing on WHO report, globally total cases in the last 24 hours are 6, 663, 304 with 5,647 deaths, while Africa has 12,6561 cases with 104 deaths, and America has 3,155, 370 cases and 176.167 deaths.
