Just In: Prof.Baryamureeba Arrested Over Fatal Kabalagala Accident

Traffic police at Kabalagala are investigating a fatal accident that happened on Wednesday afternoon claiming the life of one person.

This, after a vehicle registration number “U” being driven by Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba knocked two  female pedestrians and a perimeter wall, killing one person on spot.

The accident happened at 0105pm at Kibuli – Muyenga junction, Makindye Division, Kampala claiming Mariam Jagenda. Her body is at Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem.

The second victim Mariam Namusoke is still admitted at Mulago hospital while the suspect, Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba is detained at Kabalagala Police Station on charges of reckless driving causing death as investigations into the cause of accident continues.
