National Unity Platform(NUP) founder Moses Nkonge Kibalama has written to the Electoral Commission to dissolve current leadership of the party.
Through lawyers of Mugabi Shyana and company advocates , Kibalama and Paul Kagombe, both founding members of NUP have written a letter on 22nd July 2021 to EC chairman, regarding the memorandum of understanding between NUP leadership and People Power Movement wherein the EC Chairperson as the custodian of political parties was copied.
“Your lordship, we wish to bring to your attention that all our clients’ efforts to resolve the impasse with the leadership of people power movement in terms of the July 11, 2020 memorandum of understanding were futile,” the letter reads.
They are now seeking permission to constitute an interim leadership of NUP and organize a delegate’s conference to elect new leadership.
