The troubled commercial DFCU Bank of Uganda, is nursing five (5) COVID-19 infections from its staff at Lugogo Branch leaving both the management and customers at high risk of contracting the virus.

According to the statement released by the Bank management, the affected staff have been accorded the requisite medical and psychosocial support and the exposed colleagues in the branch are undergoing tests and will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.

Since the virus has already flooded most of the branch offices hence a threat to the remaining staff and the general public neighboring the area, the management says tracking of all possible contacts is also underway in coordination with the Ministry of Health to facilitate the process of having the requisite tests carried out.
