A group of Bushenyi supporters have tasked Eunice Kansiime Tworekirwe, one of the candidates who has been eyeing the Bushenyi district Woman Parliamentary seat to explain has why she withdrew from the race after wasting their money and time conversing for her support.

Tworekirwe was nominated as an independent candidate to contest against NRM’s Annet Mugisha and independent Candidate Madina Lukwago.

However, on Sunday November 1st, 2020 she released a statement saying that she withdrawn from the race due to pressure from family members and after receiving some sundries from main opponent.

According to a statement issued yesterday, Ms Tworekirwe claims to have withdrawn from the race since she is an NRM supporter who aims at maintaining the solidarity of the party.

Tworekirwe who is married to Kansiime a member of the Bashasha family who are core supporters of Annet Katusiime Mugisha.

We ably accessed the letter signed by Bashasha warning the latter to quit the race or else they disown her in favour of the NRM flag bearer.

Tworekirwe also wanted to stand in the NRM primaries but allegedly pulled out of the race due to fear and according to her; she could not manage the competition between Hon Minister Mary Karoro Okurut and Annet Katusiime Mugisha.

Now the race remains between independent candidates Madina Lukwago, Federica Nshemereirwe and NRM’s Annet Mugisha.

A team of voters led by Phillip Mugume Murwani asked demanded a deep explanation from Kandi Eunice

“At first I didn’t support your candidature becuase you seemed a joker in all this process but as time went on you seemed the right choice to represent Bushenyi District women in parliament, I considered your networking skills and education background a very trained teacher whose mother was also a seasoned teacher, your expression and humble approach to politics impressed many and it’s the reason you made headlines in most bulletins when you pronounced yourself as the candidate.

You are a good NRM supporter but why you chose not participate in the party primaries is your personal choice …not for today.

Your pulling out of the race on basis that you consulted NRM leaders and many stakeholders was not right because you never participated in the elections that time so there was no reason to chicken out on basis of the party since you were running as an independent candidate.

You have big many questions what will you tell the supporters whom you consulted many times during the struggle?

What will you tell the people who generously gave in their money and any kind support to you ?

What will you tell the old women , young who were behind your candidature?

I will not talk about the negotiations you went in to sell your freedom but 50m was not worth your support and status ..
