Kyotera Woman MP Ssentongo Succumbs To Covid-19

Woman Member of Parliament for Kyotera District, Hon. Robina Ssentongo has passed on due to Coronavirus disease.

Her untimely demise was officially announced by the speaker of Parliament Rt.Hon Rebecca Kadaga on Friday.

She was the pioneer law maker on Democratic Party ticket after Kyotera district curved off from Rakai district in 2017.

MP Ssentongo developed chest complications immediately after burial of DP icon in Lwankoni Sub county Chairman Sansa Mutagejja a couple of weeks ago. She was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with Covid-19.

She is the third MP to succumb to COVID-19 in jin just a space of three months after her counterparts Rehema Watongola (Kamuli Municipality) and Faith Alupo (Pallisa Woman MP) died of the disease.

Speaker Kadaga announced that the house is going to hold a special seating commiserate  her demise.
