FDC’s Patrick Amuriat Arrested In Mpigi

Police in Mpigi on Sunday arrested Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat Oboi for defying lawful orders.

Eng Amuriat first held rallies in Mpigi town Council, Bunjako Landing Site, Buwama before he was intercepted by security for not following electoral commission’s guidelines on Covid-19.

He promised people of Mpigi and surrounding areas that if he is elected as the new president on 14th January 2021,he will stop illegal evictions.

“Our a struggle is to first remove a dictator that has tormented Ugandans for the last 35 years, then I will return all your stolen land” he said.

By press time, Amuriat was still detained at Mpigi Central Police Station.
