The Inspector-General of Rwanda’s Defence Forces Lieutenant General Jacques Musemakali, who was a few years back one of President Paul Kagame’s guards, is dead, although his death has left many unanswered questions.

According to RDF spokesman, Lt. Col.  Ronald Rwivanga, Gen. Musemakweli, 58, died late Thursday night.

“It’s true he passed on last night. Further details will be communicated in due course. For now, we are still verifying the cause,” Lt. Col. Rwivanga told the press.
