Just In: PSFU ED Badagawa Is Dead

The Private Sector Foundation Uganda Executive Director Dr. Gideon Badagawa has passed on according to reports..

We’ve learnt that Badagawa succumbed to Covid-19 from Mulago hospital where he was admitted a few days ago.

Mr. Badagawa at only 54 years was the Executive Director of Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) for the last 10 years.

He previously worked with Uganda Manufacturers Association as Executive Director for 2 years.

He was also a member of the Board of National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Board of Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company Limited, Board of Uganda National Planning Authority (NPA), Board of Uganda Warehouse Receipts Authority (UWRA), and Board of the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC).

Badagawa was born in a little village called Muyiira in Nambale Sub -County, Iganga District, to Mr and Ms Isabirye Badagawa.

He went to school at Busoga College Mwiri, Makerere College School and later joined Makerere University in 1988 for his first degree in Statistics.
