Kibaale Man Commits Suicide After Testing Positive for Covid-19

Police in Kibaale District is investigating circumstances under which a  25-year-old man reportedly committed suicide after testing positive for COVID-19.

This website has learnt the deceased as Joseph Ahaisibwe, a resident of Kibingo village, Bwamiramira Sub County in Kibaale district. He reportedly committed suicide by hanging.

According to the deceased relatives, he tested positive for COVID-19 early this month and was self-isolating from home.

However, they’ve told us they shockingly found him hanging inside his house.

Uganda’s COVID-19 death toll currently stands at 1,023 since the outbreak was registered in the country in March 2020.

The Country has to date registered a cumulative of 79,977 confirmed cases with 52,961 recoveries and 1,116 cases on admission.
Ministerial statistics show that 856,025 persons have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19.
