Two Children Dead As MP Mwijukye Survives Nasty Road Accident

Buhweju Member of Parliament Francis Mwijukye has survived another nasty road accident along Kampala-Masaka Highway on Sunday afternoon.

The Shadow Minister for Trade & Industry commonly known as ‘MP WAITU’ was rushed to IHK hospital in Kampala for medical attention.

The incident was caused by a boda boda cyclist who suddenly joined the road causing about four cars to hit one another.

According to traffic Police report,the accident vide TAR 45/2021 of Buwama police station occurred on the 22/8/2021 at about at Buwama Trading center  involving vehicle reg no.MP WAITU Land cruiser Prado black belonging to one Mwijukye Francis MP Buhweju county driven by Barekye James aged 47,a resident of Kasangati in Wakiso district and motorcycle reg no.UDX577E Suzuki red in colour ridden by un identified person who was seriously injured.

Pedestrians one Nabukenya Florence  aged 13 years and one Lubyayi Tadeous  9 years all residents of Mbizinya village , Buwama Towncouncil in Mpigi district who died on spot. The victim was rushed to Gombe hospital for medication & the two bodies of the pedestrians were also taken to Gombe hospital mortuary for postmortem.
