Parliament Approves 5 High Court Judges

The appointments committee of Parliament has approved five justices to the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Justice Luswata Kavuma Eve and Gashirabake have been approved for court of appeal while Christopher Tom Chemutai, Lawrence Tweyanze, Vincent Wangona, Alice Komuhangi and Florence Nabachwa are for High court.

The five justices were appointed by President Museveni this month.
Justice Florence Nabachwa says her emphasis is going to be on clearing case backlogs especially election petitions.
Also on her menu is to champion plea bargain to reduce on case pile up.
Justice Florence Nabachwa was appointed by president from LDC.
