This is not the first time such an evil act is happening in Uganda, deputy party spokesperson, John Kikonyogo, told media on Monday at Najjanankumbi head offices.

He said a number of offices especially for CSO’s have been broken into before i.e. Forum for African Women Educationalist, Save for Health Uganda, Action Aid Uganda, Human Rights Network (HURINET), Human Rights Network for Journalists (HRNJ), Citizens Coalition for Independent Media, The Observer News Paper, Legal Aid Service Providers Network (LASPNET), Refugee Law Project, Inter Religious Council of Uganda (IRC) among others.

The target in all these offices has been computers, files and where guards tried to resist killed, Kikonyogo told press.

He said in all these incidents, Police has never issued any conclusive report.

“As we wait for the Police Report, the Party has contracted private investigators to do the same and this will enable us compare their report with that of Police to inform management of the next course of action,” he said.

On 16th December 2019, the Forum for Democratic Change will be celebrating its 15th Anniversary at Mandela National Stadium.

Preparations are in high gear and an organizing committee headed by Hon. Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda was set up.

Deputy Kampala metropolitan spokesperson Luke Oweyesire when contacted said as police they had no problem with FDC conducting their investigations but he warned them that they should not jeopardize police’s on going investigations which are officially permitted by constitution of Uganda.
