Just In! Museveni Retires Generals Tumwine, & Katumba Wamala, Kayihura, Tinyefuza Retained

President Museveni who is the commander in chief of the forces has today retired some of his longtime Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) generals and other high ranking officers.

The most senior by rank of those retired is Gen Elly Tumwime, Gen Katumba Wamala, Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Rwashande among others.

However, former Inspector General of Police, Gen Edward Kale Kayihura, Gen David Sejusa who had earlier been rumoured to be on the list were not included. It is not clear whether the two applied for retirement or not.
