The ministry of health in Uganda  has confirmed 9 Cases of Omicron COVID-19 Variant.

The super spreader omicron disease was first detected on African soil in Botswana and South Africa. It has prompted concern among scientists and public health officials because of an unusually high number of mutations that have the potential to make the virus more transmissible and less susceptible to existing vaccines.

The Minsitry of Health has called a special meeting to see how the situation can be handled before it goes out of hand.

Countries like the UK, USA, Germany blocked flights from all countries where Omicron was detected with Uganda likely to be included on this list.
