The Inspector General of police Martin Okoth Ochola has reshuffled Asp Abraham Tukundane who has been Wakiso District Police Commander to Pader over allegations of conniving with land grabbers.

The Police Chief has with immediate effect transfered Asp Tai Ramathan, DPC Paderw to Wakiso as new Police boss.

Tukundane has been in spotlight after being accused by the family of KUWE Foundation for conniving with Major Kassimu Beinomugisha to grab their Land.

Recently, we published stories of how the KUWE family petitioned the office of IGP complaining of unprofessional conduct of Wakiso Police Officers for refusing to implement court orders and instead left the land grabber, Maj Kassimu to intimidate, threaten and throw them away from their land.

Tricks That The Land Grabbers use:

They identify vacant grounds, find out the owner and if the owner is well placed to fight them, they take time to make relationships with immediate security officers where victims would have run to first, like police men.

They identify other experienced grabbers to join them so they can combine efforts in case the victim fights back.

They identify big officials who order for their release whenever arrested.

Ground possession tricks
1. They create relationship with news reporters, once they attack the ground, they are quick to

a) hire very old women who wrap before the camera claiming to have been born on that land.

b) they quickly build grave yards that are shown on tv as evidence that there are burial grounds.

2. They hire goons with pangas & these don’t allow the rightful owners to set foot on those grounds again.

3. Owners are scared away & this gives them room to do whatever they want on the grounds/ land.

4. They bring men in military attire and other putting on NRM yellow t-shirts as a way of scaring off the owners.
