Top UPDF Cashier Found Dead In Kiwatule Lodge,Robbed 24M

A senior Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF)officer Major Joseph Mukuraine has been found dead in a Birunga lodge, Kiwatule a Kampala suburb.

Information gathered by this website indicates that the deceased arrived at the lodge on Tuesday and booked a room for three days.

On the second day (Wednesday), he left in the morning but asked management not to giveaway his room, he would later return in the evening.

On Thursday (yesterday) the management was notified by the cleaner that the Major was not opening his room.

At around midday, management of Birunga broke into the room only to find the soldier lying lifeless in the bathroom.

After notifying authorities, several security operatives stormed the premises and soldiers rounded up everyone and taken to unknown destination.

It’s reported that Major Joseph was the manager of Wazalendo, a UPDF SACCO, Entebbe branch.

While leaving Entebbe, records show that he signed for shs 24 million which was not recovered.

CID detectives have kicked off investigations to ascertain the cause of his death.(trumpet)
