Police Names Dead Officers Involved In Gulu Road Fatal Accident

Two Uganda police officers have been confirmed dead after a police patrol vehicle UP 5568 they were travelling in overturned at Paicho Trading Centre, along Gulu-Kitgum Highway.

The accident happened in Gulu District on theĀ  evening Monday 12th December at around 8pm which left other 12 police officers critically injured.

It was established that the police pickup developed a tyre puncture and the driver veered off the road as he was trying to avoid ahead of collision.

The cops were going for a special duty under the command of ASP Okalebu Joseph Zonal commander Aswa region.

The two police officers dead haveĀ  been identified as No,70210 PC-Epodoi Pius and No,52736 PC-Odong D Marvin.

Those who survived with serious injuries include: 1.No.50242- CPl Odong Jacob,.No.54039- pc Opio Junior peter,No.69123-pc Omara Keneth
No.71786- pc Okello Daniel,
No,52030-pc Candia James,
No,63881-pc Okura George,
No,52265 -pc Ochora Simon,No,69676- pc Ekoju Vicent and.No 71120 pc Awuzu.
