Angry revellers on Thursday [Boxing Day] lost their tempers and stoned Presidential Advisor on Kampala affairs Catherine Kusasira and Jenifer Nakanguubi aka Full-Figure.

The ugly scene happened at Nabugabo Sand Beach during a Boxing Day concert in Masaka district.

The moment Kusasira stepped on stage, the revellers did not even wait for to start singing.

The audience started pelting bottles at her, forcefully stopping her performance.

This was followed by insults with some accusing her of selling out to the ruling NRM regime at a time many are seeking change.

The same treatment was extended to Presidential Advisor on Artistes and Youth Affairs, Full Figure, who was also pelted her with bottles.

She too was chased off stage before even singing a single song.

In September 2018, Gagamel big boss Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool was also stoned and hit with bottles during a musical concert for Jamaican star Tarrus Riley for allegedly supporting President Museveni.

Kusasira speaks

In an Instagram message, Kusasira said she was still strong and would not be cowed by those who seek freedom but cannot protect it.

“You cannot take away freedom to protect it, you cannot destroy the free market to save it, and you cannot uphold freedom of speech by silencing those with whom you disagree,” she posted.

She added: “To take rights away to defend them or to spend your way out my folks. #Still_strong.”edge
