StarTimes launches 2025 X-Mas package, Unveils New Local Shows, Festive Offers & reduced Decoder Prices

StarTimes Uganda has officially launched its 2025 X-Mas Campaign dubbed “StarTimes Shared Moment” during a colorful event held on Monday, 1st December at Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

The launch marks the start of an exciting festive season where StarTimes is offering customers more content, more value, and more affordability than ever before.The event brought together media partners, Actors and show hosts, all gathered to witness the unveiling of new programming, special Christmas subscription offers, and reduced decoder prices to make entertainment more accessible this holiday season.

Fresh Local Content Added on Makula KiKa

As part of the festive launch, StarTimes revealed new additions to its local content lineup on Makula KiKa channel. These include: Akajegere show hosted by Amooti, Zubeda and Prima Kadarshi will air at 7:50pm Monday to Friday – This is comedy talk show packed with humor, laughter, and trending stories. Pink Room will air at 8:35pm – A women talk show featuring conversations on relationships, fashion and style hosted by Mirembe Irene popularly known as Mirembe beddings.Best Friend will air at 7:05pm – Viewers favorite Ugandan drama series exploring romance and betrayal featuring your favorite celebrities Ahmed Luboowa, FiFi da queen, Ray P among others —perfect family gift this festive season.

“The introduction of these new shows reflects StarTimes’ continued commitment to promoting Ugandan storytelling and expanding the range of relatable, homegrown content for local audiences” Said Kenneth Kazooba-Vice President StarTimes.

Christmas Bouquet Offer Announced

To give customers even more value this festive season, StarTimes unveiled its 2025 Christmas Bouquet Offer, designed to reward monthly or quarterly subscription.Under this promotion: Customers who subscribe for one month will automatically receive a free upgrade to the next bouquet. Customers who subscribe for three months will enjoy a 5% discount and a three-month upgrade to the next bouquet.These offers ensure that families can access more channels, premium entertainment, and a richer viewing experience during the holiday season—without stretching their budget.

Reduced Decoder Prices This Festive Season

In an effort to make digital television more affordable for every household, StarTimes also announced special festive discounts on its decoders.The new reduced prices are as follows: • Antenna Decoder: Now at UGX 34,000, down from UGX 36,000 • Satellite Decoder: Now at UGX 40,000, down from UGX 50,000Each decoder purchase comes with 1 month of premium content, enabling new customers to enjoy an upgraded viewing experience right from day one.These price reductions are aimed at ensuring more Ugandan families can access quality digital TV during the holiday season.
