In a bid to Improve access to integrated, community nutrition services among the refugee populations in Uganda,
ISRAAID has lunched a community based nutrition programmes in refugge settlements in uganda.
The two year programme in Nakivale refuggee settlement and the transit center in Nyakabande will target one hundred and sixty refugees.
while strengthening prevention, resilience, and the systems that sustain them.
ISRAAlD has in the past rolled out several community-led innovative approaches.
These innovative approaches were mainly in the provision of psychosocial support and child protection.
Through action groups several approaches have addressed gender-based violence, tested and piloted community resilience model through the community centered approach, increased access to safe drinking water, Improved sanitation and hygiene practices in Palorinya, Nakivale & Acholi subregion.
However in the coming two years,considering high levels of Malnutrition in the refugee settlements and Host districts, ISRAAID will put emphasis on nutritional challenges in the settlements.

In Uganda ISRAAID works with Government Agencies like office of the Prime Minister and partners.
