Britania Allied Industries Limited’s TopUp Tomato Sauce has won Platinum in the “Most Preferred Tomato Sauce and Paste in East Africa” category at the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards.

The award was presented on October 16, 2026, at Hotel Africana and Convention Centre in Kampala, recognising the brand’s standing in the regional tomato sauce and paste category.

The recognition highlights TopUp’s focus on becoming a familiar choice for consumers, whether at home, in restaurants or at other dining establishments. The brand is positioned as an accompaniment to everyday meals, including chips, snacks and family dishes.

“We want people to think of TopUp whenever a meal needs that extra touch of flavour. Our role is to make the food they already love even more enjoyable, with a product that feels at home on their table. This Platinum award gives us a proud moment to celebrate and fresh motivation to keep earning their choice,” said Victor Akatwijuka, Marketing Manager at Britania Allied Industries Limited.

TopUp is available in different pack sizes to serve both household and commercial customers. The 400g and 700g packs target home consumers, while the 2kg and 5kg options cater to restaurants, caterers and other commercial kitchens.

According to Britania, the award reinforces the company’s commitment to maintaining consistent product quality and meeting consumer expectations.

“Consumers experience our standards through the products they buy and use every day. Our responsibility is to deliver quality consistently, every time they choose us. We are proud of TopUp’s Platinum recognition and grateful to the people across our business and trade network whose work brings the brand to consumers,” said Ali Ebraik, Chief Executive Officer of Britania Allied Industries Limited.

TopUp was among five Britania brands recognised at the awards ceremony. Splash and YoJus each received Platinum awards in their respective categories, while SunSip won Gold and Britania Biscuits received Silver.

The awards recognised products across the company’s beverage, sauce and biscuit portfolio, marking a successful outing for the manufacturer.

For TopUp, the recognition provides further impetus to strengthen its presence among consumers and continue serving households and commercial kitchens across the region.
