Police Detains Dr.Besigye At Nalufenya After Nile Bridge Fracas

Former presidential candidate, Dr Kizza Besigye, was Wednesday arrested and detained at Nalufenya detention facility in Jinja district again.

His aide, Ronald Muhinda, said Besigye was trailed by a one Muhumuza Albert on a motorcycle and Musa Walugembe in a Premio.

This pair of cops was last year photographed along Katonga road in Nakasero near People’s Government offices, once more snooping around Besigye.

The opposition figure was intercepted at the new Nile Bridge and arrested alongside the councillor for Bugembe Town.

He was leading a procession to Busoga One FM radio for a talk show.

Besigye was also expected to visit the building that collapsed in Jinja Town opposite Madhvani Market.

“President Kizza Besigye taken to notorious Nalufenya again,” Muhinda reported.

This is the second time in three days Besigye is being arrested in Jinja and detained at Nalufenya Police Station.
