The acting executive director Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Eng.Andrew Kitaka has denied allegations that he has been fired by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni from leading the authority.

President Museveni appointed Eng. Kitaka on December 18 2018 after former executive director Jennifer Musisi resigned as she pursued greener pastures at Harvard University in USA.

Through KCCA spokesperson Peter Kaujju ,Mr.Kitaka has rubbished the news which circulated at the beginning of this week that he had been replaced by assistant commissioner in charge of corporate affairs at Uganda Revenue Authority Mr. Jamil Ssenyonjo as false and laughable.

When the news leaked especially on social media, there has been a lot of discussion in public about the performance of Kitaka after six months of service.

‘’There has been a lot of mention on several pages about a ‘new’ appointment @KCCAUG. Please note that there’s no communication to that effect from the appointing authority. We are carrying out our duties normally for a better city. Have a blessed day.

“Please disregard news making rounds on social media that HE the President has appointed a new KCCA ED. Please note that Eng. Andrew Kitaka Mubiru is still Ag. KCCA Executive Director. For Accurate information, you are advised to always crosscheck with KCCA social Media platforms or KCCA Spokesperson Peter H Kaujju,” Statement read
