Another member of the Ugandan 11th Parliament is currently being treated at a top hospital in Kampala after reportedly collapsing in a meeting.

Bugiri District Woman MP Agnes Taaka is said to have fainted during a meeting at Makerere on Wednesday. She would then be rushed to Nakasero Hospital in Kampala for treatment.

On June 09, Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among visited MP Taaka at Nakasero hospital.

“This [Thursday] morning, I made time to visit our colleague and Woman MP for Bugiri, Hon Agnes Taaka who is indisposed and currently admitted at Nakasero Hospital,” the speaker revealed.

“Let’s continue to place all the sick under the Lord’s care so that he restores their health to continue serving Him.”

Taaka is not the only MP who is currently hospitalized. A few days earlier, Speaker Among and her colleague Moses Magogo visited Mukono Municipality MP Moses Magogo in hospital.

“After the SONA, we visited our sister the Hon Betty Nambooze Bakireke who is hospitalized at Rubaga Hospital. I also had an opportunity to meet the medical team taking care of her, led by Dr. Luyimbaazi Julius,” said Among on June 07.

“We shall do whatever it takes to support our Sister’s recovery process. We pray for her and her family during this difficult moment.”

Nambooze, who belongs to Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s NUP party, recently survived death after she fell from the stairs.
