The District Woman Member of Parliament for Kazo, Hon. Jennifer Muheesi, has once again demonstrated her commitment to education and digital empowerment by equipping schools and a community resource center with computers.

During her latest visit, she delivered a set of computers to St. Peter’s Secondary School Rwebugumya in Burunga Sub county.

The donation was officially received by Rev. Fr. Ulbano Muhumuza, the Parish Priest of Burunga Catholic Parish and Director of all Catholic schools in the area.

Rev. Fr. Muhumuza hailed the initiative as a game-changer for both learners and teachers.

“In today’s world, digital skills are no longer optional; they are essential. These computers will give our students an opportunity to compete at a higher level,” he said, assuring that the equipment would also benefit other institutions under Burunga Catholic Parish, which oversees schools in Burunga, Migina, Rwemikoma, and Nkungu subcounties.

This latest contribution follows Hon. Muheesi’s recent support to St. Catherine Girls School in Kazo, where she restocked the school’s IT lab with new equipment, accessories, and internet connectivity.

“We must bridge the technology gap in our schools. Our children deserve access to modern learning tools that prepare them for the future,” she said during the handover.

Additionally, Kazo Church of Uganda Resource Centre has also benefited from her initiative, receiving state-of-the-art computers to boost digital literacy in the community. The facility is expected to offer training opportunities for students, youth, and residents eager to improve their IT skills.

Hon. Muheesi reaffirmed her dedication to strengthening education and digital infrastructure in the district, stressing that technology plays a vital role in shaping future careers.

“Access to computers and the internet is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. We must ensure our schools and communities are not left behind,” she emphasized.

Community leaders, educators, and students have welcomed her efforts, highlighting the long-term impact these contributions will have on learning, innovation, and skills development.

With these initiatives, Hon. Muheesi continues to position Kazo as a district embracing technology, ensuring that no learner or resident is left behind in the digital revolution.

The event attracted local leaders, school administrators, and students, all of whom expressed gratitude for the generous support.
