Bishop Zoreka Fires Kihihi ArchDeacon Tibesigwa Over Corruption

The Bishop of Kinkiizi Diocese Rt.Rev.Dan Zoreka has suspended the archdeacon of Kihihi archdeaconry until he clears the complaints raised against him.

Ven Jastus Tibesigwa the archdeacon was yesterday suspended for one month in a meeting held at the archdeaconry headquarters in Kihihi presided over by Bishop Dan Zoreka .

According to the diocesan secretary rev Kenneth Kanyankore Jastus Tibesigwa was suspended on two accounts that he allegedly conducted a wedding in ungazetted place after he carried out wedding of foreign couple in queen Elizabeth national park with out permission from Bishop.

He is also accused of soliciting funds from donors on behalf of diocese and the money recieved was used for his own personal beniftits.

It should be remembered that during new year message,the Bishop announced to defrock two priests over misusing of diocese funds. Earlier there was case of poison which turned to be false alarms and accusations according to the police. One of insiders who preferred anonymity said that Tibesigwa Justus is being fought.
