Mr.Oulanyah at church fundraising

Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah has preached peace to the people of Northern Uganda saying that the region currently is with a perfect opportunity to now accelerate development, progress.

The two important lessons to learn from the region’s dark episodes, he said, are a resolve never to allow any situation that could take the country back to war, and to grab the existing opportunity to entrench financially gainful activities.

Oulanyah was Chief Guest at a fundraiser for the construction of St Luke’s Church Madi-Opei in Lamwo District.

He contributed Shs5 million, while his efforts saw the collection of over Shs15 million in cash, pledges.

Oulanyah was in the company of the Minister for Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Eng Hilary Onek, Lamwo District Woman MP Molly Lanyero among other leaders.

The Bishop of Kitgum Diocese, Rev Wilson Kitara, hailed Oulanyah for his efforts in the Church’s development.

He urged locals to return their lives to God right in time, and not when it is too late.
