Devon Petroleum Debuts in Uganda with Nansana Flagship Station

Devon Petroleum SMC LTD, a dynamic and fast-growing player in the petroleum sector, today officially announces its entry into the Ugandan market with the launch of six service stations, anchored by its flagship site in Nansana.

Established in 2018, Devon Petroleum SMC LTD has steadily built a reputation for reliability, quality fuel products, and customer-focused service. The company’s entry into Uganda marks a significant milestone in its regional growth strategy, bringing competitive energy solutions closer to communities and businesses.

As part of the launch celebrations, customers will enjoy a special fuel discount across all Devon stations from April 30th to May 3rd, 2026. The company will also officially introduce Devon Foods, expanding its offering to include convenient, quality food services designed to enhance the overall customer experience at its stations.

Speaking at the launch, Kigongo Musa, the Managing Director, emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to Uganda’s energy sector, stating:
“Our launch today is not just about opening stations; it is about building trust, creating jobs, and contributing to Uganda’s economic growth. We are here for the long haul, and we are committed to delivering quality, consistency, and value to every customer we serve.”

Hassan Wasswa, the Operations Manager, highlighted the company’s focus on efficiency and safety: “We have invested in modern infrastructure and operational systems to ensure that every Devon station delivers a seamless, safe, and reliable experience. Our priority is to maintain the highest operational standards across all our locations.”

Muhamad Taremwa, the Head of Marketing, in his speech during the launch, underscored the brand’s customer-first approach, noting: “Devon Petroleum is positioning itself as a brand that understands and serves the everyday Ugandan. From fuel quality to customer experience, including our expanded offering through Devon Foods, we are building a brand that people can trust and relate to.”

The Commissioner from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, welcomed the investment by Devon Petroleum, stating, “We commend Devon Petroleum SMC LTD for investing in Uganda’s petroleum sector. Such investments are critical in strengthening supply, improving service delivery, and supporting national development goals.”

Devon’s investment in Uganda reflects strong confidence in the market, with the launch of six stations marking only the beginning of a broader growth plan. Plans are already underway to expand to additional locations across key regions by the end of the year, as the company continues to scale its footprint and strengthen its presence in the market.
