Flying Squad Arrests Gulu’s Notorious Thug With Deadly AK47

Police Flying Squad in Gulu has arrested and detained One Onencan Fred over alledged Possession of an illegal fire arm.
The arrest followed reports from scared residents that Onencan who had just been released from Amaru Central Police Station had an AK47 riffle in his house.
The suspect had earlier been arrested for assaulting a Police officer Cpl Oling Walter from Awer. Upon interrogation by Flying Squad, Onencan Fred revealed where he had kept the gun.
Police went to his home and searched it and recovered the rifle with 19 rounds of ammunition, he claimed he bought it from one Ozima who was in Hoima at Shs 2 million, while he was guarding National Drug Authority.
The recovery took place from his home in Awer village, Palema parish Lamogi Sub county, Amuru District.
He was whisked to Gulu police station since community members wanted to lynch him because he was a big threat to them.
He is currently being detained at Gulu Police Station on charges of illegal possession of fire arm and assault.
Investigations to trace one Ozima whom he claimed to have bought the gun from is on going.
