The former Speaker of the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA), Mr. Dan Fred Kidega, is battling for life in coma after getting involved in a very nasty road accident on Saturday evening.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that Kidega’s accident was very serious as it was a head-on collision with a FUSO Lorry that saw his car off the road and rolling for several times.
“He was taken to TMR Hospital in Naalya. He is unconscious.” he said.
He added that the injuries sustained are on his head, right arm and left leg.
Medical team at TMR Hospital has been assigned to work on his medical conditions.
Enanga intimated to us that traffic police is investigating the matter using CCTV cameras of Kireka and Bweyogerere road.
The driver of FUSO truck Fred Muleme is currently admitted at Mulago hospital.
