Two employees of Next Media have died and another is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a tragic road accident along Entebbe Road in the early hours of Friday, August 7, 2026.
In a statement issued by the company’s management, Next Media confirmed that the accident involved three members of staff: Badru Kasirye, Isaac Ndamagye, and Brian “Makona” Ssemanda.
The company said Badru Kasirye and Isaac Ndamagye succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
Brian “Makona” Ssemanda survived the accident and is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, where he is receiving specialized medical care under close observation by his doctors.
“We remain in direct contact with the hospital and will share updates on his condition as they become available,” the statement said.
Next Media expressed its condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, while requesting privacy for the bereaved families and for Brian Ssemanda and his loved ones as he continues to receive treatment.
The media company said further updates would be provided as more information is confirmed.
The circumstances surrounding the accident had not yet been disclosed by the time of publication, and authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the crash.
