The opposition Forum for Democratic Change’s Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Sebugwawo and the newly appointed State Minister for Information and National guidance rejected calls by different opposition party leaders to turn down President Museveni’s Ministerial position.

The Rubaga veteran Catholic leader was on Tuesday appointed a state Minister for Information and National guidance, a position formerly occupied by Peter Ogwang.

However ever since the appointment, a number of opposition leaders have always criticised and asked her to turn down the appointment claiming that it’s meant to deter her from fighting for the democracy of all Ugandans.

However angry Ssebugwawo has since rushed all calling her to ignore the appointment asking them why they never stopped a candidate that the National Unity platform fronted against her in the recent general elections.

“Those who want me to turn down President Museveni’s appointment, where were they when Mr. Kyagulanyi fronted a candidate against me in the last elections? How come they didn’t call Kyagulanyi to order? Is that how they had to pay me for my selfless service to the people of Lubaga, Buganda and Uganda at large? Those people are traitors, God has remembered me I thank President Museveni for identifying me to serve my nation” – Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Sebuggwawo, New state Minister for ICT.

Nabbosa’s appointment comes after she lost grip of the Rubaga division Mayoral slot which she held close for 2 decades before being ousted by the National Unity Platform party candidate, Mberaze.

The opposition Forum for Democratic Change party glorified the appointment of its acting party president, Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo upon her appointment to the cabinet of President Yoweri Museveni.
