In Uganda: Covid-19 Cases Rise To 281 As 28 Truck Drivers Test Positive

The Ministry Of Health has on 27 May, 2020, registered 28 new COVID-19 cases out of 2,004 Samples tested.

21 new cases in Uganda are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu while 7 cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.

7 positive foreign truck drivers (4 Tanzanians,1 Eritrean,1 Congolese and 1 Burundian) were handed over to their country of origin.

Samples from Points of Entry tested today:1,456

Total confirmed cases in Uganda are now 281 and Total recoveries is still 69 with no registered deaths.

Samples from community and contacts is 548 all tested negative.

The contacts were under quarantine at the time of test
