In a landmark development for Uganda’s coffee industry, Inspire Africa Group (IAG) will officially launch its first range of coffee products today at the Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamaire, Ntungamo District. The event coincides with International Coffee Day, highlighting Uganda’s ambition to strengthen its position in the global coffee market through value addition and innovation.

The launch ceremony will be presided over by His Lordship Hon. Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo, the Chief Justice of Uganda. Several high-profile leaders are expected to attend, including Hon. Monica Musenero, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation; Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development; Hon. Babirye Babalanda, Minister for the Presidency; and Hon. Bwino K. Kyakulaga, Minister of State for Agriculture, among other dignitaries.

During the event, IAG will unveil a range of premium coffee innovations, including:

Inspire Africa Drip Coffee

Inspire Africa Coffee Capsules

Inspire Africa Ground Coffee

Inspire Africa Roast Coffee

These products mark the company’s entry into both local and international markets, with a strong emphasis on quality, branding, and modern processing techniques.

The celebrations will extend to October 7, 2025, when President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of Somalia, will officially flag off the first consignment of Inspire Africa coffee products for export to Somalia during the Uganda–Somalia Business Summit at Mestil Hotel in Kampala. This milestone reflects Uganda’s growing trade ties with the Horn of Africa and its commitment to expanding coffee exports.

The Africa Coffee Park, a 150-acre state-of-the-art facility in Ntungamo, is poised to become Eastern Africa’s largest coffee processing and value-addition hub. Equipped with freeze-drying technology, the park will produce refined instant coffee, coffee-based beauty products, and energy drinks. It will also host a Convention Centre, Coffee Academy, Exhibition Centre, and IT Park — all aimed at driving industrialisation, job creation, and coffee tourism.

This initiative is in line with Uganda’s 4th National Development Plan (NDPIV 2025/2026–2029/2030), which identifies coffee as one of six key agricultural value chains targeted for value addition and export promotion.

With this bold step, Inspire Africa Group positions itself as a key player in transforming Uganda from a raw coffee exporter into a global supplier of high-value coffee products.
