Just In: Kamuli Municipality MP Watongola Dies Of Covid-19 At Mulago Hospital

Hon. Hajjat Rehema Watongola, Kamuli Municipality member of Parliament has died . She was recently, admitted at Mulago hospital in intensive care with severe headache, fever and dry cough.

Sources at Parliament said that they are yet to find out the cause of her death. Her death is a shock to other members of Parliament. It is suspected that she could have succumbed to Covid-19 because by the time of her admission she had signs of the deadly disease.

Hellen Kawesa, the spokesperson of Parliament says a statement regarding Wetongola’s death will be issued. She says the cause of death is still being investigated.

Hajjat Watongola Rehema joined Parliament on NRM ticket with 8726 votes after defeating her closest rival, FDC’s Proscovia Salaamu-Musumba  got 5,778 votes.
