President Museveni has summoned to State House all leaders at different levels in Sembabule District including Non National Resistance Movement leaders.

Those summoned include Sembabule District Chairperson, NRM District Chairperson, all Members of Parliament and all aspirants for the position of Member of Parliament.

The others include all sub county chairpersons (LCIII) and all NRM sub county chairpersons.

In a notice to all the leaders in Sembabule, Nickson Kabuye the RDC said he has instructions to invite the group to State House Entebbe on Thursday September 10.

“You’re also informed to report at Mulago National Specialized Hospital by midday tomorrow (Wednesday 8th September) for Covid-19 test as a must”.

He said State House would handle transport and accommodation expenses.

The chairman of the National Resistance Movement [NRM] Electoral Commission Dr. Tanga Odoi on weekend announced the indefinite postponement of elections in Sembabule District.

Sembabule had emerged as one of the areas with stiff competition where the enthusiasm of supporters for various candidates has in some cases resulted in fights in the party polls.

Embarrassed by the many episodes of violence, bribery and cheating by altering results in Friday’s ruling party flagbearer polls, President Museveni also party chairman on Monday penned a missive asking those who have been cheated to come up with proof for the perpetrators to be prosecuted.

Sembabule district, Museveni’s young brother Sodo Aine Kaguta is tussling it out with Shatsi Kutesa Musherure in a hotly contested race which resulted into postponement of the elections.
