President Yoweri Museveni has cautioned Ugandans against living sedentary lifestyles which he says is the leading cause of the increased cases of non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart-related diseases in Uganda. The President made the remarks in a speech read for him by Vice-President Jessica Alupo, during the commissioning of St. Cosma Kamaggwa Health Centre IV, built by Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala’s family friends at Kyemagwe in Kalisizo, Kyotera District.

“I want to warn you about these diseases, which are largely about lifestyle. They are caused by inactivity coupled with overeating. Adopt positive and healthy lifestyles, exercise more, and watch your diet,” the president said
