The President of Uganda General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has donated Ugx50m towards the construction of Serinya parish priest’s house.

The money was delivered by Hon. Persis Namuganza, the minister of state for land, housing and urban development on behalf of H.E. the President.

The Bishop of Masaka Dioceses Serverus Jumba thanked the President for extending an olive branch towards the church.

The Bible says, Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it. That is exactly what the President’s big heart has decided to do for the Christians in Serinya parish, Bukomansimbi district courtesy of Eng Sewava Joseph who hails from the area.

It should be noted that this is not Sewava’s first effort to mobilise for the people of his area, prior to that he hosted the member of Parliament for Mawogola North, Hon. Shartis Musharure who also contributed building materials for the same cause.

Hon. Namuganza thanked the church for complementing government programs like Parish Development and promised to deliver the church’s gratitude to the fountain of honour.

NRM Sewava who is the Head of the political mobilisation in the office of the Presidency thanked President Museveni for forging unity among Ugandans and encouraged the people to support NRM anti-poverty programs.
