MP Nyakikongoro Cheats Death On Kabwohe-Kitagata Road Accident

Sheema Woman Member of Parliament, Rosemary Nyakikongoro, was involved in a car accident on Sunday morning, August 18, 2024.

The incident occurred on the Kabwohe-Bugongi-Kitagata road, resulting in the vehicle she was traveling in overturning. Nyakikongoro sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the Ishaka-based Kampala International University Teaching Hospital.

She is currently receiving treatment and is reported to be in stable condition. Her personal assistant and driver were also injured and hospitalized.

This is not the first time Honourable Nyakikongoro is involved in serious road accident.

In 2013,she was involved in a deadly accident along Kibure in Katende along Masaka Road in Mpigi district when the car registration number UAJ 434X in which Nyakikongoro together with her nephew and the driver were traveling in veered off the road as they were dodging an oncoming over speeding vehicle.

Nyakikongoro, who was traveling fromK ampala to Sheema district, got serious deep cut on her left leg while her nephew Simon Manye and driver David Kibatenda survived with serious bruises.

The MP together with her team was first rushed to Mulago hospital after which they were later transferred to Nakesero Hospital for special medical attention.(thenewvis)
