Ugandan hip-hop legends Navio and The Mith have officially unveiled their collaborative album GODLVL at an exclusive listening party held at Silo 15 in Bugolobi on Sunday evening.
The intimate event brought together artists, media, industry stakeholders, and fans for a first listen to the 14-track project, while also offering insight into the inspiration, collaborations, and creative journey behind the album.

Throughout the evening, Navio and The Mith reflected on their evolution within Uganda’s hip-hop scene, tracing their roots back to talent shows, rap battles, and ciphers that helped shape a generation of artists. The duo emphasized the importance of honoring the origins of the culture while continuing to push it forward for new audiences.
The project is deeply rooted in themes of legacy, family, friendship, and artistic authenticity. During discussions, the artists highlighted the importance of paying tribute to the people, experiences, and communities that have influenced their growth, both personally and professionally.

“Every generation needs reminding where you come from. We came up through talent shows, battles, and ciphers, and GODLVL is our way of celebrating that journey while continuing to push the culture forward,” said Navio.

One of the defining features of GODLVL is its diverse lineup of collaborators from across East Africa and Uganda’s music spectrum. Featured artists include Tanzania’s AY Masta, alongside Vampino, Akeine, Maritza, Izabel UG, JB (Klear Kut), Herbert Ssensamba, Benon Mugumbya, Lukas Blacc, Flex D’Paper, BigTril, and Dagg Mizzo.
The album also features a landmark collaboration with Afrigo Band and legendary musician Moses Matovu on the Sikulimba Remix, creating a rare bridge between Uganda’s contemporary hip-hop movement and one of the country’s most influential musical institutions.

Guest artists who spoke during the listening session praised Navio and The Mith for their commitment to authenticity, collaboration, and creative excellence. Several contributors highlighted the unique chemistry behind the project, describing it as a body of work built on genuine relationships, artistic trust, and a shared vision for the culture.
Production on GODLVL was handled by a diverse team of producers, including Trigganomics, Ethan, Ledra, Timcence, Dagg Mizzo, Mr Mugabi, Josh SB, Kacey, Samurae, and Mio Made It. The result is a rich soundscape that blends hip-hop with contemporary African influences from across the region.

The album’s production was supported by Talent Africa Group through its Talent Africa Group Studios, one of the key recording locations for the project. The studio provided a collaborative environment for artists, producers, and songwriters, underscoring the company’s continued investment in Uganda’s creative industry beyond live entertainment.
Recorded across multiple studios, including Talent Africa Group Studios and Icon, GODLVL represents the coming together of some of East Africa’s most respected creative talents.

The 14-track album is scheduled for release on Friday, June 19, 2026, and will be available on major streaming platforms. Fans can pre-save the project ahead of its release.
As the evening concluded, one message echoed throughout the room: Hip-hop lives forever.
