NBS TV UnCut show presenter Isaac Kayz Kawalya ,Williams Makuliro a.k.a Mako, and Brian Kennedy Wako were remanded over what is termed as “Offensive Communication.”to Kitalya Prison until October 15.

The prosecution alleges that ‘‘the accused committed the crime on August 27, 2021, while at Sanyuka Television, Next Media Services Ltd in Kampala City.’’

At the start of September, Omulangira Suna through his lawyers Mr. Robert Lutaalo and Mr. Precious Nahabwe from Elgon Associated Advocates dragged the said Next Media Services journalists to court over defamation and character assassination.

“Journalists and people in the media should be careful when talking about people in the media to avoid making statements that are criminal in nature. These four presenters made repeatedly offensive statements on television despite caution from the complainants,” the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) spokesperson, ASP Charles Twiine was quoted by Daily Monitor as saying.

“They were warned but continued to repeat the statement,” he said.

The accused allegedly claimed that Os Suna is a witch doctor not the rightful owner of a storied building and a pine tree plantation that he recently showed off.

Os Suna, who appeared at a press conference with tears rolling down his face, vowed to teach the accused a lesson for making such baseless allegations against him.
