Old Mutual Life Assurance has recognised its top-performing sales agents and managers at the 2025 Agency Awards ceremony held at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, celebrating excellence, resilience, and outstanding contribution to business growth. The annual awards event brought together the company’s sales force and leadership to honour exceptional performance across multiple categories. Winners were rewarded with a range of prizes including international travel experiences, household items, and cash incentives.
In a notable shift from previous years, there was no grand prize vehicle awarded in 2025. Instead, the overall top-performing agent received a cash prize of UGX 6 million, reflecting the company’s evolving reward structure. Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director, Old Mutual Life Assurance, Patrick Kinoti Kimathi commended the agents for their dedication and impact on the business. “Tonight, we celebrate the passion, resilience, and commitment of our extraordinary sales force. Each of you plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of Old Mutual Life Assurance, and your dedication does not go unnoticed,” he said. He reaffirmed the company’s continued investment in developing its agency force to drive sustainable growth and deliver superior customer value.
The awards featured three key categories: Fly to Zanzibar, Fly to Türkiye, and the Journey to the Industry Award, recognising both new and experienced agents among the standout performers:
- Journey to the Industry Award (New Agent) was won by Norah Nakaweesi
- Journey to the Industry Award (Old Agents) went to Rashid Kizito and Grace Nakitende
- Multiple agents qualified for international trips to Zanzibar and Türkiye, alongside unit managers and bancassurance representatives
In the Fly to Türkiye category, top qualifiers included Norah Natumanya, Ruth Tumwijukye, Philip Kasule, and Rashid Kizito, alongside new agents such as Sylvia Brenda Birungi and Nelson Balikoowa. Unit Managers Evelyn Naava and Sophie Luzinda were also recognised in this category.

Additionally, bancassurance excellence was recognised, with Asiimwe Sandra (Pearl Bank) awarded as Lead Generator, while Namulondo Lydia and Anita Twikirize of Centenary Bank were recognised as top BSOs.
Steven Lubowa, Head of Marketing and Distribution at Old Mutual Life Assurance, praised the collective effort behind the year’s success: “We applaud our teams for their excellent performance over the past year. Their resilience, teamwork, and commitment to delivering value to customers across all touchpoints has been truly commendable.” The Agency Awards remain a key platform for motivating the sales force and reinforcing Old Mutual’s commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence.
