Katwe Police Division has launched a hunt for musician Mulwana Patrick, better known by his stage name Alien Skin, together with several members of his Fangone Forest crew, in connection with the killing of one of their former associates.
The deceased has been identified as Wilfred Namuwaya, popularly called Top Dancer, who died on September 22, 2025, at Mulago National Referral Hospital after sustaining severe injuries.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango explained that preliminary inquiries show Namuwaya was taken from his home in Ndeeba on September 20 by a man only identified as Musomali, who is believed to be attached to Fangone Forest. He was allegedly led to a remote forested location, where Alien Skin reportedly ordered his team to “discipline” him for quitting the group without consent.
Investigators say the gang among them Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo subjected Namuwaya to a vicious beating before dumping him in Mpomba Zone, Makindye Division. He was later rescued by a passerby and rushed to Mulago, where he succumbed to the injuries two days later.
“The suspects are on the run, but efforts to trace and apprehend them are underway. We appeal to anyone with information that may assist the police to come forward,” SSP Onyango noted.
Reports also suggest that Fangone Forest members have, in recent weeks, been linked to other violent attacks on both former colleagues and ordinary citizens. Many of the victims, however, are said to have kept silent out of fear of revenge.
Police have increased surveillance and urged anyone who has suffered at the hands of the group to report and make statements.
