Police in Kampala have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a 25-year-old woman, identified as Caroline Nalubwama, who reportedly sustained fatal injuries while at the home of city socialite Bryan Kirumira, widely known as Bryan White.

According to police, Nalubwama was rushed to Kiruddu Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead upon arrival. “Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was at the residence of Mr. Bryan Kirumira, alias Bryan White, in Kyamula, Makindye Division, when the incident occurred,” said ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police.

Owoyesigyire added that detectives visited the scene, collected potential evidence, and conveyed the body to City Mortuary, Mulago, for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Police further confirmed that Kirumira, who also sustained injuries during the incident, is currently receiving medical treatment and has recorded a statement to aid the ongoing inquiry.
“Our teams are retrieving CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses to establish what exactly happened,” Owoyesigyire noted, adding that updates will be shared once investigations progress.

The incident has once again thrust Bryan White into the public spotlight. The 38-year-old socialite rose to fame in 2017 through his Bryan White Foundation, known for cash handouts and public philanthropy that drew widespread attention. However, his fame has over the years been clouded by allegations of sexual abuse, assault, and human trafficking, which he has consistently denied.

Police say the investigation remains open as they await the post-mortem results and additional witness statements to determine whether Nalubwama’s death was accidental or criminal in nature.
